Paintings and Sketches
For years I worked in clay and bronze, creating detailed representations of the natural world. But I’ve always had a deep love for life drawing and expressive mark making – and this naturally led me to explore landscape in a similar way. When it comes to landscape, I favour energy and emotion over technical precision. Nature already does perfection far better than I ever could – so I look for atmosphere, movement, and mood. I work quickly and instinctively, then go back in, layering more marks, more motion.
I’m also fascinated by industrial and decaying landscapes. While I love the raw beauty of nature, I’m equally drawn to the grit, graffiti, and forgotten structures of urban life. There's a quiet poetry in the brutal, a striking contrast to the organic – and I find great beauty in that balance.
This is my world – expressive, experimental, and always evolving
